Pick Your Island
The Hawaii real estate market always stays strong despite economic downturns on the mainland for several reasons. One of the primary reasons is the fact the islands are a land unto their own in many ways. What this means is that Hawaii property and property on other islands has been developed to the point where there is a lack of land. This keeps the home real estate market strong, because simply put, people have to live somewhere.
Of course, with the strong military presence in the islands there is plenty of real estate turnover. This is great also for the real estate market, because it means when you’re ready to sell your home and upgrade to a larger or newer home, there will be plenty of buyers waiting for the opportunity to own your home. You can pick your island and then pick your home!
